after reading yesterday's entry mentioning a tim armstrong song with skye sweetnam, i thought, wtf? i didn't think that one-hit wonder wannabe pop princess would be back...i also wasn't aware that tim armstrong was working on solo material. i was into rancid for a while, back in high school, when their second self-titled was released. but that was just a phase, and i stopped listening to all that californian punk.
intrigued by this collaboration, i checked out the video for "into action". i must admit, it is quite cathy!
yes, i know the entire album and the videos are online for free download. but i like having a physical disc, i need some summer music, and today is payday. so on my way home, i passed by hmv and got the album "a poet's life". an impulse guilty pleasure purchase.

ryan adams
it's been a slow month, without a purchase nor a show...ryan adams' new album "easy tiger" was released today. i had read some positive reviews about this one. although i was not impressed when i heard the internet leak some time ago, i liked the album enough to get it today.
some are the songs are a bit too country-ish for my liking. but most of these tunes are perfect to be played on a summer rainy day.
so far, my favourite track is "oh my god, whatever, etc."
